About Nikky

Hi there,

I’m Nikky.

I’ve been a holistic massage therapist since 2017, and a certified Master Coach since 2021. I’ve supported countless individuals to feel more connected to their bodies, experience peace and relaxation during times of stress and duress, and gain a deeper understanding of the ways emotional stresses impact their bodies, lives, and relationships.

I led a monthly women’s circle here in Anchorage centered around connection and emotional wellness for 2 years, before taking the last year off because one of the ultimate tragedies occurred in my life. My mom died unexpectedly.

This tragedy called out the warrior in me.

I took all that I knew about healing and wellness, reached out for the support I desperately needed, and devoted myself to facing this tragedy head-on, so that I could heal, integrate, and continue to support others through the work that I deeply love to do from a place of integrity; and ultimately live a life that not only carries my own legacy, but that honors my mom’s huge-hearted legacy as well.

I started Behind the Clouds to support others going through times of challenge, change, and transition in their lives.

I took inspiration from a necklace that I’ve worn daily since my mom passed… the symbol of sunshine. Because no matter what the weather is doing, the sun is always up there behind it. That mentality of hope to make it through the storm, was a steady drumbeat guiding me, strengthening my warrior’s heart and drive forward, even when I couldn’t see past the clouds.

We never know what someone is going through. Someone may look like they have it all together, when in reality, they may be in the midst of facing one of the biggest challenges of their life. Whatever you’re going through, you don’t have to go through it alone. Truly, the greatest blessing during the darkest times of my life has been the support of those around me.

I may not have been through the exact situation you’re in, but I can promise to honor the pain and the shadows, and to walk with you together through the storm and towards the horizon; where the sun eventually begins to rise again in it’s own time.
