Disconnect to Reconnect
When I feel disconnected
I stop and I look outside
Letting my eyes rest on the trees
Taking in the beautiful design
Earth, Gaia, Mother
So much moves
Yet so much stands
Steady
Trusting
Swaying
Changing and transforming
Cycles of death and rebirth
Beautiful changes of the seasons
The wisdom of the trees
Present through millennia and centuries
When I feel disconnected
I imagine I’m standing on the Earth
I breathe and imagine roots
Growing out of my feet
I feel them extending
Deep into the Earth
Feel them absorbing nutrients
Feel a slowing down
Attuning to the frequency
Of the Earth’s heartbeat
Nature never rushes
Yet she is always on time
Steady, nourished, surrendered
Always connected, never alone
Wherever you are
However you’re feeling
Is perfect
All is unfolding
At the perfect time
Let yourself slow
Let yourself soften
Feeling inspired?
Go for it
Feeling exhausted?
Take a rest my darling
Cycles and seasons
Honoring the necessity of each
Cyclical and flowing
This too shall pass
